Adamson
House
This classic house was designed in 1929 by Stiles O. Clements and
built a year later for Rhonda Rindge Adamson, daughter of the last
owners of the Malibu Spanish Land Grant. One of Southern California's
early strong, independent business women, Adamson was owner of the
Malibu Tile company.
Situated
on one of the most beautiful spots in the area, the elegant house
and its grounds are part of Southern California history.
An
optional tour of the elegant and historic Adamson House will be
available from 5:00 - 6:30 pm, during the cocktail reception.
The
house is famous for its extensive use of decorative Malibu tiles,
including the Star Fountain and the Neptune Fountain. (See right.)
For
more information on the Adamson House, including a virtual tour,
visit the Adamson House website.
Attire/Weather
Malibu temperatures in October can range from warm in
the daytime to quite cool at night, so dressing in layers is recommended.
The reception will be outdoors, on a grassy lawn. Please wear or
bring attire and footwear that will allow you to celebrate comfortably.
